Nicholas A. "Nick" Probol, age 32, of Grand Rapids and formerly of Kalamazoo and Battle Creek tragically passed away Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2022. He was born in Battle Creek on June 9, 1990, the loving son of Frederick and Elizabeth "Liz" (Mohlman) Probol and graduated from Pennfield High School with the Class of 2008. Nick then received a Bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University and Master's of Science degree from St. Joseph's University. He served as Director at the Nazareth Center and Sojourner Place in Kalamazoo.

Nick is survived by his dog, Mr. Hobbs; his parents, Liz Probol of Battle Creek and Frederick (Wendy) Probol of Florida; his brother, Jonathan Probol; his sisters, Ashley (Anthony) Probol-Schintzuis and Jaime Probol; his uncles & aunt, Brian Mohlman, Barry (Suzy) Mohlman and G. Marie Dennis; several cousins and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Manfred & Josephine Probol and Dr. Harold & Jeanne Mohlman.

Nick was always very outgoing, had an amazing love for living life to the fullest, and was always smiling. His goal in waking up every morning was to have a blast and do his best to make others happy. Nick loved animals, and enjoyed hiking, weightlifting & body building.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 9th at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where services to celebrate his life will be held 11:30 a.m., Saturday, September 10th. The service will be live streamed and may be viewed at https://vimeo.com/749678684/e94777be60. Interment will follow at the Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Battle Buddy Foundation (www.tbbf.org).
