John passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018.

John was a resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan at the time of passing.

He was also passionate about his work as a dairy veterinarian, the study of which brought him from his native Vermont to New York, where he completed graduate studies at Cornell University, and then to Texas where he met his wife.

There will be a viewing at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids.

Donations can be made to the Garth Cummings Memorial Fund at Grand River Bank to benefit his sons' education.
