Helen passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018.

Helen was a resident of Grand Rapids, Michigan at the time of passing.

She is survived by her children, William and Mary Verwys, Ron and Ruth Verwys, Patti and Harold Ploeg; grandchildren: Elizabeth and James Hildebrandt, Evamarie and Aaron Eggebeen, Anthony and Myca Verwys, Rebecca and Jeff Leep, Ryan and Rachel Verwys, Ruthanne and Jeff Huizenga, Ross and Sarah Verwys, Robert Verwys, Jennifer and Jon Nelson, Adam and Leah Ploeg and 25 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 8, 11:00 am at Calvary Church, 707 E. Beltline NE, with Rev. James Jeffery officiating. Visitation will be held at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, on Sunday, October 7, from 3 to 5 pm and at church on Monday from 10 to 11 am prior to the service. Private interment Rest Lawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Potter's House Christian School or Keys for Kids Ministries.
