I met Cronk when we both worked at an ad agency. We spent the first week saying little while trying to out-deadpan each other. Once the ice broke we became solid friends. After that, it did not matter whether we saw each other every day or once or twice a year...we picked up our conversation as we'd left it the previous meeting. Gary often shared his conspiracy theories with me but unlike some whose skepticism plunges them into hopelessness and despair, Cronk was sustained by his subtle sense of humor and a huge heart. God bless him.

Gary, you will never be forgotten.

My connection with Big Fish was through Veenstra Reproductions in GR. A decade or so later, there he was at the Hall Street Bakery, typing something on his laptop. He was always glad to see me : a role model for sure.
May your grief and sadness at his passing become a sweet memory of a truly kind and wonderful man.

Such sad news. Gare was a good friend and co-worker back in the '80s in the Perrigo Art Department. He was so talented and had a wonderful sense of humor. My condolences to the family.

Min and I offer our deepest condolences to you and the girls. I cannot imagine what you are going through; but know that 'everyone' you, Gary and your family have touched will be there for you. I did not know him well, but the few times I did get to meet him, I could feel and see the love he had for his family.
Our hearts are heavy for your loss and our thoughts are with you my friend.

Gary was a wonderful art director/designer; he always came up with imaginative solutions that resulted in creative work you could be proud of. He was funny, smart, and a great conversationalist. There was never boring talk with Gary; I liked to think of him as a kind of philosopher. And he made us laugh so much! I remember one time we were all going through some hard time with work and Gary started walking around the art room with a
